중국 1분기 GDP -6.8%…44년 만에 첫 마이너스 기록<br /><br />The Chinese economy contracted for the first time in more than four decades in the first quarter after the country was slammed by the COVID-19 pandemic.<br />China's National Bureau of Statistics revealed on Friday,... that its GDP was down MINUS 6-point-8 percent on-year from January to March.<br />This comes after the world's second largest economy imposed large-scale shutdowns and strict quarantines to curb the spread of the virus.<br />It's reportedly China's first negative growth since 1976.<br />During the first quarter, China's industrial production fell over 8 percent on-year,... while retail sales slumped 19 percent.<br />
